Arkansas Heart Hospital, based in Little Rock, has added Hamza Rayes, MD, to its team of cardiologists, according to a Nov. 13 report by Arkansas Money & Politics.

Cranston, R.I.-based cardiologist Malcom Kirk, MD, has been reprimanded by state health officials and has agreed to pay $1,100 in administrative fees after performing an operation while positive for COVID-19, according to a Nov. 13 report from Providence Business News. 

SmartCardia, provider of an integrated cloud platform for remote cardiology patient monitoring, has named Jag Singh, MD, as its new principal medical adviser.

Cardiology is one of the most "active and sought after areas within physician practice management," according to Provident's third-quarter "Mergers and Acquisitions Update" report.

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and healthcare technology company Agamon Health have entered a partnership to expand Agamon's cardiology offerings, according to a Nov. 8 report from Imaging Technology News.

The highest paid cardiologist in Boston earns $921,200, according to Medscape's salary reporter tool, which is much higher than the mean annual wage of $421,330 cardiologists make, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
