Public workers in West Virginia may experience more health insurance benefit cuts, according to WVNSTV.com.

1. The Public Employees Insurance Agency must cut approximately $60 million for the 2016 to 2017 plan.
2. The agency is forced to make cuts because the state funding is not projected to increase.
3. In October, PEIA staff will present possible cuts to the agency's Finance Board.
4. The board will approve the plan for 2016 to 2017 in December after the November public hearings.
5. The current plan that went into effect July 1 had $40 million in health insurance benefits cuts.
