Ohio OB/GYN to Convert Armory to Ambulatory Surgery Center

Albert Domingo, MD, and his Canton, Ohio-based OB/GYN practice plan to transform the former Army Reserve armory in Canton into an ambulatory surgery center, according to a Canton Rep report.

Dr. Domingo said the renovation will include a surgical center and a small pharmacy. He plans to use six obstetricians and gynecologists, as well as a psychologist and a pediatrician. The renovation will add a surgical wing spanning approximately 2,000 square feet to the south side of the complex, as well as a main entry vestibule of 1,900 square feet to the southeast corner.

Dr. Domingo and his practice purchased the site from the federal government in late Dec. 2010. They have hired Mann Architects, an Akron, Ohio-area firm, to design construction and renovation plans.
