Opening Delayed for Florida's Medical Center of Trinity, Outpatient Surgery Center

Medical Center of Trinity, a $210 million hospital set to open in New Port Richey, Fla., in 2012, will include a four-story, 90,000-squre-foot office building that includes an outpatient surgery center and physician offices, according to a TBO report.

Plans called for the hospital to open before the end of 2011, but state health regulators haven't finished inspections of the facility. No specific date for the 2012 opening has been set. The four-story building located near the hospital will be home to Medical Center of Trinity's Women's Diagnostic Center, an outpatient surgery center, physician offices and a pharmacy.

Community Hospital of New Port Richey will move the majority of its medical services into the newly constructed medical center, which broke ground in May 2006. Community Hospital and Medical Center of Trinity are both owned by HCA, based in Nashville.
