3 strategies for finding the ideal team for your ASC

Lisa Austin, vice president for faculty development for Lakewood, Colo.-based Pinnacle III, outlined three ways ASCs can hire the optimal team through interviews and setting expectations in a post on the company's blog.

Here are the key insights to know:

1. Meeting with ASC owners can help the person in charge of hiring get a better idea of what the center's culture is and what qualities leadership expect in a new hire.

2. In the interviews, Ms. Austin said she asks the candidate about how they would act faced with difficult situations, the culture of their previous employer and the candidate's values. Asking these types of questions can show how the interviewee will work for the ASC, and where they could need some guidance.

3. Ms. Austin also recommended representing the ASC well to the candidate during interviews through acting professional and making a good first impression.
