TriHealth has appointed Stuart Donavan, MD, as medical staff president of the Bethesda (Ohio) Medical/Dental Staff, a role that includes supervision of the recently purchased Butler County Surgery Center, according to a Cincinnati report.
Dr. Donovan has been in practice since 1991, specializing in advanced laparoscopic surgery. In his new role, Dr. Donovan will oversee the medical and dental staffs at Bethesda North Hospital, Bethesda Medical Center Arrow Springs and Butler County Surgery Center.
Dr. Donovan is a national preceptor for laparoscopic hernia surgery for Ethicon and has instructed surgeons from the U.S. and Europe on advanced laparoscopic techniques in hernia surgery. He earned his MD from Wright State University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
