Anthem appointed Brian Griffin to the position of executive vice president and president of commercial and specialty business.
Here are four notes:
1. Mr. Griffin replaces retiring Ken Goulet, and will be in charge of Anthem’s Local Group business.
2. He will be a member of Anthem’s executive leadership team.
3. State-based exchanges; individual, small group and large group business; national accounts; and specialty products all fall under Mr. Griffin’s oversight.
4. Equipped with more than 30 years of healthcare experience at the executive level, Mr. Griffin most recently was the commercial plan president for Anthem’s affiliated health plan in New York.
