Surgery Center Administrator Hired as Wisconsin Hospital CEO

Anne Hargrave-Thomas, administrator and CEO of West Bloomfield (Mich.) Surgery Center, has been hired as the CEO of physician-owned OakLeaf Surgical Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis., according to a news release from B. E. Smith (pdf), which conducted the executive search.

 

Ms. Hargrave-Thomas will assume her new role Sept. 26.

 

She brings nearly 20 years of senior leadership experience to the surgical hospital. In addition to her work at the Michigan ambulatory surgery center, she has held leadership positions at Wayne State University Physicians Group and at Detroit Medical Center, both located in Detroit. Ms. Hargrave-Thomas was named an "ASC Administrator to Know" by Becker's ASC Review in 2010 and 2011.

 

"Among Anne's many skills is a proven ability to partner with surgeons to substantially improve satisfaction scores, quality and patient experience," said Mike Staheli, vice president of operations and service line development at OakLeaf Surgical Hospital, according to the release. "We're looking forward to continuing on our path of steady growth under her expert guidance."
