Construction on North Carolina Surgery Center in Raleigh to Begin in March

A new ambulatory surgery center is expected to break ground this month in Raleigh, N.C. according to a report from CoStar Group.

The 30,000-square-foot ASC, which will feature eight operating rooms, three procedure rooms and an imaging center, will anchor a medical park built on Raleigh-based WakeMed Health & Hospitals' flagship campus.

Duke Realty, formerly BremnerDuke, will finance, develop, own, lease and manage the medical office building which will house the surgery center, according to the report.

Completion of construction is targeted for May 2012.
