San Antonio-based Bariatric Medical Institute of Texas's minimally invasive bariatric surgery fellowship is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

1. BMI of Texas offers one of the only accredited bariatric fellowship programs in South Texas.
2. The University of Texas Health Science at Houston and the Minimally Invasive Surgeons of Texas program are affiliated with the fellowship.
3. Fellows receive training on robotics and other skills.
4. BMI has trained 11 fellows to date.
