Twenty children met with a special visitor through telemedicine video equipment at Erie (Pa.) Shriners Ambulatory Surgery Center and Erie (Pa.) Outpatient Specialty Care Center, GoErie.com reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. Santa Claus, visiting a Shriners facility in Philadelphia, used the facility's telemedicine equipment to meet with the children in Erie.
2. ASC officials set up a special room for the childrens' visits with Santa. Each child spoke with the man in red for five minutes before being presented a gift.
3. The ASC also had games, crafts and two live reindeer for the children to interact with.
Erie Shriners Public and Donor Relations Specialist Michael Widrig said the facility wanted to give the pediatric patients a chance for holiday memories.
