NAPA Releases 2 More Briefs on Hospital Quality Reporting

North American Partners in Anesthesia released the second round of briefs on transforming hospital operating rooms to adapt in an age of reform.

The two writings discuss quality improvement programs and public reporting of quality outcomes, according to the release. Brief three — titled "Aligning Your Hospital and Anesthesia Practice for Perioperative Quality Improvement" — talks about tracking and benchmarking data. Brief four — "Aligning Your Hospital and Anesthesia Group for Public Reporting" — focuses on public reporting and empowering consumers.

So far, NAPA has released four briefs. The last two will come out next week. The briefs address the 72 measures outlined in CMS' Inpatient Quality Reporting Program and how health systems can develop structures and processes to most accurately capture data.
