Overland Park (Kan.) Surgical Suites received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation.

1. Overland Park Surgical Suites is SurgCenter Development’s second operational center in Kansas.

2. The 7,500-square-foot ASC has two operating rooms and a minor procedure room.

3. The center’s seven surgeons specialize in hand, foot and ankle, joint and sports medicine surgeries

4. The Joint Commission evaluated Overland Park Surgical Suites on coordination of care, monitoring for procedures that involve use of sedation or anesthesia, infection prevention and control, management of medications, and patient education and training, among other criteria.
