The Swaid Clinic opened in January, and same-day treatment outside a hospital is new to the area, Swaid Swaid, MD, told WBRC6. The center performs a variety of surgeries, and Dr. Swaid said he hopes all hip replacements can be performed there.
“In our environment, it’s smaller and much more controlled, and I believe safer at this time because of the [COVID-19] crisis,” Dr. Swaid said in the report.
