Dr. Lashner focuses on ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, general gastrointestinal disease and has expertise in clinical epidemiology, colonoscopy and endoscopy. He is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Lashner serves on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed publications, including the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. He has also served as principal investigator for many clinical trials on inflammatory bowel disease. He won the Premier Physician Award from the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America in 1999.
Dr. Lashner completed his medical degree at New York University and his internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Chicago, and earned his Master of public health degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
