NorthStar Anesthesia hired executives for four new national leadership roles and selected three others to execute its long-term growth strategies.
NorthStar provides anesthesia services at 150-plus facilities in 20 states. It employs more than 2,000 clinicians.
Four appointments in the newest positions:
1. Brian Woods, MD, will oversee NorthStar's clinical operations, quality and team performance as president of clinical services. He was previously national chief medical officer.
2. Josh Lumbley, MD, will oversee the national implementation and management of critical processes across NorthStar and manage CMS quality reporting as national chief quality officer. He was previously senior vice president of physician services and CMO for NorthStar's North Division.
3. James Roberts, MD, will oversee all physician services as national CMO. Dr. Roberts was previously senior vice president of physician services and CMO for NorthStar's South Division.
4. Wendy Odell, DNP, CRNA, will oversee all CRNA services as national chief anesthetist officer. Dr. Odell most recently served as senior vice president of NorthStar Anesthesia and chief anesthetist officer for NorthStar's South Division.
Three appointments to drive scalable operational growth:
1. Joel Tompkins, CRNA, will the lead national operations management team and fortify relationships with new and existing hospital partners as president of client services. He was previously chief client officer.
2. Ashwini Kotwal will continue serving as CFO and assume the role of COO, tasked with creating repeatable, scalable processes and recruiting high-caliber talent.
3. Dennis Shin will work with local and regional market teams to expand NorthStar's client base as chief growth officer. He previously worked as an adviser to hospital executives and senior healthcare professionals.
