Peter Mannon, MD, will join Omaha-based University of Nebraska Medical Center’s department of internal medicine as chief of gastroenterology and hepatology.

1. Dr. Mannon is currently director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and the gastroenterology/hepatology clinical research program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

2. At University of Nebraska, he will direct the medical center’s Paustian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center.
