St. Anthony Hospital Gastroenterologists Adopt Smallest Microscope for Cancer Detection

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colo., announced that its physicians are among the first in Colorado to use the world’s smallest microscope during endoscopies and colonoscopies.

The microscope, known as Cellvizio, allows physicians to pinpoint cancerous and pre-cancerous tissue more effectively than before. The hospitals’ gastroenterologists Matt Reveille, MD, and John Groff, MD, are using the system to diagnose and treat early signs of esophageal, pancreatic and colon cancer.
