GI physician to know: Dr. Arvind Movva of Gastroenterology Consultants

Arvind Movva, MD, is the CEO of Gastroenterology Consultants in Moline, Ill., and also serves as the assistant medical director of Valley View Anesthesia, Midwest Clinical Research Associates and Regional Surgicenter in Moline. He is a consultant with Movva Medical Consulting.

Dr. Movva focuses on ERCP/EUS, hemorrhoidal banding and cures for Barrett’s esophagus. “Radiofrequency ablation of precancerous change in the esophagus, knows as Barrett’s Esophagus, can easily and safely reduce the risk of developing cancer,” he said, according to the practice website. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Illinois State Medical Society.

Dr. Movva earned his medical degree at The Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago and has completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
