GI physician leader to know: Dr. Shawn Khodadadian of Manhattan Gastroenterology

Shawn Khodadadian, MD, runs Manhattan Gastroenterology and serves as director of clinical nutrition at Lenox Hill Hospital, both located in New York. He is also a clinical instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Khodadadian’s clinical interests include hemorrhoid treatments, Crohn’s disease, constipation, IBS, GERD and Heartburn. He also provides endoscopy and colonoscopy services. He is certified as a physician nutrition specialist by the American Board of Physician Nutritionists.

Dr. Khodadadian earned his medical degree at State University of New York’s Stony Brook (N.Y.) School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Lenox Hill Hospital. During his fellowship, Dr. Khodadadian received grants for specialized training in inflammatory bowel disease as well as in liver disease.
