Dr. Efrusy is a former president of the Chicago Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Illiana Surgical & Medical Center at Franciscan Hospital in Munster. He is clinical consultant for the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Efrusy focuses on the inflammatory bowel disease, acid pepic disorders, chronic liver disease and has experience in a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. He also actively participates in numerous on-going clinical studies in chronic hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Efrusy received his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency as well as a gastroenterology fellowship at George Washington University Hospital and Medical Center in Washington D.C.
