GI physician leader to know: Dr. James Weber of Texas Digestive Disease Consultants

James J. Weber, MD, is president of Texas Digestive Disease Consultants in Southlake. He has previously served as president of the medical staff and chief of gastroenterology at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine (Texas). He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Weber focuses on colorectal cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, constipation and hepatitis C. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His hospital affiliations include Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.

Dr. Weber earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He then completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, both located in Dallas.
