Here are four points:

1. The $15 million facility will include a GI facility, an endoscopy center and an institute dedicated to Crohn’s and colitis.

2. Gastrointestinal Associates’ new facility absorbed another GA practice’s operations and services, including its ASC, clinical services and administrative offices.

3. Planners built the facility to improve patient flow, with the building having wider hallways and infusion rooms equipped with natural lighting.

4. Gastrointestinal Associates CEO Jeff Dew said the facility builds on GA’s nearly 45-year foundation. He said in a news release, “Our Dowell Springs location will serve as the premier healthcare facility in the region for endoscopic procedures like screening colonoscopies and many other clinical services centered around our patients’ health.”
