Rochester, Minn.-based The Mayo Clinic included gastroenterologist Albert Czaja, MD, in its 2016 Mayo Clinic Distinguished Alumni Awards.

Waco, Texas-based Baylor University selected Hashem El-Serag, MD, to be the next chair of its college of medicine.

Gary D. Wu, MD, was awarded the 2017 AGA-Dannon Gut Microbiome in Health Award.
