Dr. Heimann’s clinical interests include abdominal hernia, colorectal cancer, Crohn’s disease, esophageal cancer, familial adenomatous polyposis, gastrectomy and inflammatory bowel disease. His research interests include ulcerative colitis, rectal cancer and pancreatic cancer. His work has been published in Current Surgery, Digestive Diseases and Sciences and Colorectal Disease.
Dr. Heimann earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. He completed his colon and rectal surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
