Boston Scientific closes $75M acquisition of Neovasc: 3 things to know

Rolling Meadows, Ill.-based Boston Scientific closed a deal to acquire Vancouver, Canada-based Neovasc for $75 million.

Here’s what you need to know.

1. Neovasc is an advanced biological tissue business.

2. Boston Scientific is acquiring certain manufacturing assets and capabilities, and will integrate them into its structural heart business for use in Boston Scientific’s Lotus Valve System.

3. As part of the deal, Boston Scientific is taking a 15 percent ownership in Neovasc.
