Here are five things to know.

1. Motus GI’s Pure-Vu System is an FDA 510(k)-cleared device indicated for cleaning a poorly prepped colon during a colonoscopy.

2. The Pure-Vu System is designed to reduce dependence on pre-procedural prep regimens for a thorough colonoscopy.

3. The Pure-Vu System fits over most standard colonoscopes and is designed to help physicians gain clear visualization of the colon mucosa. The device is activated by a foot pedal.

4. The company recently added Seth Gross, MD, to its medical advisory board. Dr. Gross will serve as the primary investigator for Motus GI’s Reduce study, which will examine the effectiveness of the Pure-Vu System for inpatient colonoscopies.

5. Motus GI filed its IPO in January, aiming to raise $28.8 million. In February, Motus GI closed its initial public offering at $17.5 million.
