1. The American Gastroenterological Association published best practice statements for patient care of refractory Helicobacter pylori. It comprises 12 points overviewing H. pylori eradication treatment failure determinants and data-driven advice for treatment after the first failure.

2. Fifteen percent of new diagnoses of inflammatory bowel disease occur in individuals older than 60 years, according to new treatment and diagnosis updates from the American Gastroenterological Association. 

3. The World Gastroenterology Organisation has released a new set of guidelines for the treatment of digestive tract tuberculosis. This is the group’s 27th global guideline.
