WellSpan Health delays opening of $49M outpatient center — 5 insights

The anticipated opening of WellSpan Health and Surgery Center in Penn Township, Penn., has been pushed back to spring 2019, Central Penn Business Journal reports. 

Here are five insights.

1. The 80,000-square-foot, $49 million outpatient facility was initially expected to open fall 2018.

2. York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health broke ground on the health center Nov. 14.

3. The facility is expected to create 60 full-time jobs.

4. Bariatric, gastrointestinal, oncological, gynecological and orthopedic services will be provided at the outpatient center.

5. The surgery suite will include four operating rooms, four procedure rooms, and more than 20 private pre-op and post-op patient rooms.
