Tidelands Health, based in Murrells Inlet, S.C., hopes to open a new surgery center at its Tidelands Georgetown (S.C.) Memorial Hospital, according to a WBTW News 13 report.

1. The construction of the 43,500-square-foot facility would cost $41 million.

2. The surgery center would be attached to the hospital’s existing building, according to the report.

3. The surgery center would house four operating rooms and two endoscopy suites.

4. Tideland Health is waiting for certificate of need approval from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
