Baxter Health adds anesthesiologist

Mountain Home, Ark.-based Baxter Health has added Joel McMasters, MD, to its medical staff as an anesthesiologist.

Dr. McMasters has more than 25 years of clinical and military anesthesiology experience, most recently serving as a staff anesthesiologist with Arkansas Health Group Anesthesia at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, according to an Oct. 8 system news release. 

He is a former U.S. Army Medical Corps lieutenant colonel, he served as chief of anesthesia during Operation Iraqi Freedom and held leadership roles at Fort Sam Houston, Brooke Army Medical Center and the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium, all in Texas.
