Medline’s adjustments increase the size of a pond on the south end of the development to boost stormwater detention and add a 100-foot buffer between the road and fence line, the report said. The height of a planned fence will be increased, and a vinyl screen will block street view of the facility.

Additional adjustments are focused on beautification and pedestrian traffic, the report said. These changes came in response to concerns from residents, and the Hammond city planning and zoning commission will review the new site plan Nov. 5 at an evening meeting.
