The hospital is inside Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside, and the partners said they plan to co-develop a network of ASCs in northeast Florida.
The new Performance Orthopedics and Spine Specialty Hospital is the first hospital under the new Performance Orthopedics and Spine brand, which will manage a comprehensive musculoskeletal service line and develop a clinically integrated network of orthopedic practices.
“We are thrilled to see our plans to improve the level of orthopedic and spine care in northeast Florida come to life,” said James Machado, regional president of Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside and Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns County, which is currently under construction.
The deal to create the region’s first orthopedic specialty hospital was announced Aug. 3.
