UPMC to open new specialty care center — 5 details

 
Pittsburgh-based UPMC will open a new outpatient center in Greensburg, Pa., according to a Nov. 6 press release.

Here are five details to know:

  1. The facility is set to open Nov. 9.
  2. The 2,520-square-foot facility will bring 14 UPMC East clinicians and several outpatient services.
  3. Services will include orthopedics, cardiology, pain management and gastroenterology.
  4. The center was built to address an increasing number of patients at UPMC East.
  5. The facility plans to add more on-site convenience, including a retail pharmacy.

“Every day, an average of 228 Greensburg area residents travel to a UPMC location for their healthcare,” Mark O’Hern, president of UPMC East and UPMC McKeesport (Pa.), said in a statement. “One of our goals in serving our communities is to make it as easy as possible for patients to obtain the high-quality care and services they need close to home, conveniently and efficiently.”
