Since the deal, the health system has proved to be serious about growing its ASC presence. Most recently, Intermountain and Billings-based Ortho Montana broke ground on the Gallatin Valley Surgery Center in Bozeman, Mont., which is expected to open in fall 2024.
In September, the health system held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Intermountain Park City Surgery Center in Utah, a joint venture between Intermountain and the Orthopedic Partners, a physician group.
In June, Intermountain opened its seventh ASC in Utah with a location in Murray with plans to open eight more surgery centers in the area by 2024.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
