10 new orthopedic ASCs in 2025

Here are 10 orthopedic-focused ASCs that have opened or been announced in 2025:

1. Orthopaedic Associates and Deaconess Health System, both based in Evansville, Ind., broke ground on a new two-story ASC on Deaconess’ Gateway Campus in Newburgh. The facility will feature five operating rooms for orthopedic procedures and dedicated preoperative and postoperative recovery areas.

2. TriasMD, parent company of Newport Beach, Calif.-based DISC Surgery Centers, opened a 12,000-square-foot ASC in San Diego. Custom built by physicians, the center includes three operating suites integrated with surgical and motion-preservation technology. It is located adjacent to DISC’s full-service clinic.

3. DISC Surgery Centers plans to open an ASC in Tarzana in the third quarter of 2025. The facility will occupy part of a two-story, 19,936-square-foot medical building, with a full-service spine and orthopedic clinic on the second floor.

4. Atlanta-based Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute will open two surgery centers in the coming months, both dedicated exclusively to total hip and knee replacement procedures.

5. U.S. Orthopaedic Partners and Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center have began construction on an ASC in Alexandria, La.

6. Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care plans to build a $53.6 million ambulatory care and orthopedic center in Bay City. The 50,000-square-foot, two-story facility will open in phases — the orthopedic center in summer 2026, followed by the ambulatory center in 2027.

7. Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Health-West is partnering with Grand Rapids-based Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan to develop an orthopedic-focused ASC.

8. Slocum Orthopedics plans to build a standalone ASC in Eugene. The organization expects to apply for construction permits in July 2025.

9. Compass Surgical Partners joined with the Orthopaedic Institute of North Texas and Lam Vascular & Associates to operate a new ASC in Frisco.

10. Powers Health and Orthopedic Specialists of Northwest Indiana are collaborating to open an ASC in Munster.
