18 ASC leadership moves this year

Here are 18 leadership moves Becker's ASC Review has reported on this year:

1. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare tapped Brendan Strong as CFO of its Massachusetts market.

2. The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers elected five officers to its board of directors.

3. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare named Jennifer Berres senior vice president and chief human resource officer.

4. Andrey Ibragimov was named assistant director of Ingalls Same Day Surgery Center at Tinley Park (Ill.).

5. Nadja West, MD, is joining the Tenet board of directors effective Oct. 8 after her retirement from the U.S. Army.

6. Walter Shelton, MD, a founding partner of Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, retired Aug. 30.

7. Angela Justice, PhD, executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Surgery Partners left her role July 1.

8. Tenet Vice Chairman Keith Pitts retired in August.

9. Medical Facilities Corp. hired new CFO in David Watson in June. 

10. Cathy McCabe, MD, and Mark Kontos, MD, were named chief medical editors for The Ophthalmic ASC.

11. Robert Zwolak, MD, PhD, will serve as chief of surgical services at the Manchester (N.H.) Veterans Affairs Medical Center's ASC. 

12. Alexander Hennig, MD, became the new medical director of the Gilford, N.H.-based Hillside Surgery Center in April. 

13. Brentwood, Tenn.-based Spero Health selected former Envision Healthcare leader Clint Cromwell as its chief legal officer.

14. Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners nominated former Southwind Health Partners CEO John Deane to fill a vacant seat on its board of directors. 

15. Eyecare Services Partners hired George Neal as its new CEO.

16. HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest named Scott Davis CEO. 

17. Mark Barnhart was named CEO of Seattle-based Proliance Surgeons, a physician-owned and managed surgical practice Feb. 1.

18. Brian Rice joined Cardinal Health as its executive vice president and CIO Feb. 4.
