Here are four notes:
1. In the task force’s October 2015 draft guidelines, they recommended Cologuard as an “alternate” to other screening tests.
2. The task force clarified Cologuard’s standing in its final recommendation statement.
3. The task force acknowledges “there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to colorectal cancer screening” and that it “seeks to provide clinicians and patients with the best possible evidence about the various screening methods to enable informed, individual decision making.”
4. The final recommendations also recognize the use of Cologuard every three years.
