Here are four things to know:
1. The study will be recruiting 100 participants, aged 18 to 75 years.
2. The study will be recruiting participants experiencing irritable bowel symptoms multiple times per week.
3. Participants will be asked to alter their eating habits for one month.
4. Doug Taren, PhD, associate dean for academic affairs at the UA Zuckerman College of Public Health in Tucson, and Ronnie Fass, MD, a gastroenterologist at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, also in Tucson, are collaborating and advising on the study.
