Salem Regional plans $6M endoscopy unit renovation project — 5 highlights

Salem (Ohio) Regional Medical Center is planning a $6 million renovation project of its endoscopy unit, according to Salem News.

1. Salem Regional’s endoscopy expansion project is part of the center’s plan to address the region’s increased demand for more convenient access to advanced diagnostics and outpatient treatment.

2. Anita A, Hackstedde, MD, Salem Regional president and CEO, said the center’s endoscopy procedure volumes have increased 31 percent over the past seven years.

3. Features of the new endoscopy expansion project include four procedure rooms and 16 private pre-and post-operative bays.

4. The project is set to begin in mid-April.

5. In 2015, Salem Regional’s endoscopy staff and physicians provided personalized care to 5,125 patients.
