Here’s what you need to know.
1. In a clinical trial, researchers used the Pure-Vu device during 50 colonoscopies. The device was partnered with an 18 to 24 hour liquid diet and bisacodyl tablets.
2. Results showed that the Pure-Vu system increased the number of patients with an adequate cleaning level from 31 percent to 98 percent.
3. The system recently was awarded 510(k) clearance from the FDA in September 2016. Motus GI is pursuing CE Mark approval in the European Union.
