GI leader to know: Dr. Heather McDougall of the Sanford Center for Digestive Health

Heather McDougall, MD, is a gastroenterologist at the Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Center for Digestive Health.

Her areas of expertise include colorectal cancer, acid reflux, Celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease and many others.

Dr. McDougall began her career after earning his medical degree from Indianapolis’ Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency, internship and fellowship all at Minneapolis’ University of Minnesota.

Dr. McDougall is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. McDougall enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and shopping for antiques.
