Man walking 441 miles to fundraise for Virginia Mason Cancer Institute: 4 key notes

Don Muggli, 68, is walking across Washington state to support the Seattle-based Virginia Mason Cancer Institute, the Union-Bulletin reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Mr. Muggli’s younger brother Dale Muggli died in 2015 from colon cancer.

2. He began walking on April 13. People have pledged to donate money to the Cancer Institute for every mile he walks.

3. As of April 23, Mr. Muggli raised approximately $9,000.

4. Mr. Muggli expects to finish his walk by May 13.
