GI physician to know: Dr. Barry Zamost of Long Beach Gastroenterology Associates

Barry Zamost, MD, is one of the founders of Long Beach (Calif.) Gastroenterology Associates, where he also practices. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

Dr. Zamost is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. He has a professional interest in constipation, hepatitis C, irritable bowel syndrome and acid reflux disease. He also has extensive experience in endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr. Zamost completed his medical degree at Boston University and his residency at the Wadsworth Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship through the combined University of California Los Angeles-VA program.
