Dr. Boisen has a professional interest in digestive and liver diseases as well as GERD, hepatitis C and irritable bowel syndrome. He has been actively involved with local healthcare organizations, and has previously served as chairman of endoscopy committees at Providence and Alaska Regional Hospitals and at the Alaska Digestive Center, all located in Anchorage. His research interests include esophageal reflux disease and endoscopic colon cancer evaluation.
Dr. Boisen earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He completed his fellowship training at University of Wisconsin in Madison.
