He is a member of various medical societies including the American College of Gastroenterology, Southern Medical Association, Palm Beach Medical Society, Peruvian American Medical Society, Florida Society of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Medical Association among various others.
Dr. Alalu earned his medical degree from the University of San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He completed a residency and fellowship at the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida and Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.
