Here’s what you should know:
1. HyGIeaCare has its own center in Jackson, Miss. GI Associates is now sending patients to that center. At the center, patients are seated on the device which properly prepares them for their colonoscopy.
2. GI Associates physician Reed Hogan II, MD, said in a release, “At GI Associates, we are working hard to make the process of prep more comfortable, and now provide our patients with a choice for pre-colonoscopy bowel cleanse. HyGIeaCare Prep provides an easier non-oral and more comfortable option than the oral preps, providing better test results to protect our patients’ health and peace of mind.”
3. In a study presented earlier in 2017, researchers found HyGIeaCare adequately prepped 97 percent of patients for their colonoscopy.
