Previously, Dr. Crippin served as director of hepatology and medical director of liver transplantation at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He also served as secretary-treasurer, president-elect and president of the American Society of Transplantation. His clinical interests include new treatments for chronic viral hepatitis, treating and preventing recurrent disease following liver transplantation as well as liver function assessment.
Dr. Crippin earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and completed his residency at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City. He underwent his gastroenterology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
