Here’s what you should know.
1. The program will identify gaps in communication and research about IBD. It aims to help providers and patients make better decisions together and prevent suboptimal treatment.
2. The Foundation and AGA are creating a steering committee of industry experts to help shape the program.
3. As part of the program, the two organizations are sending a survey to providers and patients. The survey will help identify communication gaps.
4. Following the survey, the organizations will issue a request for proposals in the summer of 2017.
