A regional breakdown of multispecialty ASC caseloads — GI makes up what %?

VMG Health completed a regional analysis of case volume per specialty as a percent of total cases at multispecialty ASCs through its VMG Health’s Multi-Specialty ASC Intellimarker 2017.

VMG surveyed 278 surgery centers around the country with an aggregate case volume of more than 1.3 million. VMG also incorporated 2015 and 2016 data into its updated 2017 figures.

Here is the regional breakdown of gastroenterology caseload at multispecialty centers:

Atlantic: 30 percent
Midwest: 31 percent
Mountain: 24 percent
Northeast: 33 percent
Pacific: 33 percent
South: 29 percent
All facilities: 29 percent
